livejournal users, this is the place to be!

!!!!!! TONIGHT !!!!!!!!

the nada surf after party is at this show.

FEBRUARY 10TH! (Tuesday)
at Modified

Nada Surf -- You love this band. They're playing an all request set list. They told me they'll play anything you request even if it's not one of their songs. I heard from an inside source that they'll be playing the entire a side of the beatles white album.

The Dead Science (Members of Xiu Xiu) -- Totally jazzy music for musicians and people who can think outside of 4 chord 4/4 time signatures. This band will skull fuck you.

Other Voices (Sea of Cortez, Death of Marat, and Minibosses) -- As you may or may not know, the 3 bands which form this band are easily some of the greatest bands this state has produced. Featuring one of the guitar gods of the minibosses as well as angular and mathematical drumming and bass playing from members of sea of cortez & death of marat. It isn't possible to see this band too many times. Local music? THIS IS IT!

(((Girls))) (formerly Swastika Girls from Portland, OR) -- Pronounced as "Parenthetical Girls," this band is some what minimalistic and extra dreamy from a region of the world that knows how to do it right. If you want to know tell your friends what's going to be hip for the next ten years, this is a band to write down in your art notebook.

Sugarbush (from tucson) -- Zanny and irresitable rock and roll pop explosion from the island city of tucson. These guys and girls are great human beings and are ready to tear shit up.

We Are Scientists! (members of ...levines!, bullyrag, financial panther, hammered dr destructo) -- Phoenix residents known for fucking up shit through loud, noisy, and mathematical music. You can literally see the notes flying off of their instruments as they play. Also credited in previous bands for waging a war against the 3rd dimension and embracing 2-d. This is their second show ever! If you didn't see them at the Red Light Sting show last week, do it the 10th.

will start at 8pm and will probably run you about $5 bones.

Did you guys get Forget Hollywood pressed on vinyl? I'm el curioso.

Also I was wondering if you could pass a question off to los bros. casebeer. Is the Ruinacre and Shitbastard stuff on CD? I have most of the vinyl stuff.

Spanks.

...OH! And I'm in a new band out in SmelL-Ay (LA). When can you guys come back?

directions for the dragon zone show! [09 Jul 2003|02:42pm]

thewackness
these are the directions to the dragon zone show on saturday that i was given by a true fan:

"okay so i talked to the girl: i cant fucking find her addy on mapquest but i made her write out directions from 1-10 going north.

get to the 60. e. - get off on power road - take a right onto power - drive way fucking far south - some checkpoints so you know you aren't terribly lost (even though you wont be lost) are a safeway and a circle k even farther out - and then you take a left onto riggs road - and drive through the sossamon stop sign - then on your right start looking for a little blue sign that says 198th st. my house is the second on the right. #19740

i hope this works. ill get more exact directions tonight.

see you saturday."

don't forget, dragon zone is a rare spectacle not to be missed. every show could be their last! don't let this opportunity pass!
